Write in Sessions
Writing happens one sitting at a time.
Vespers starts with Focus because the first useful question is often simple: what are you working on now?
Set an intention, begin a session, and write. The session can belong to a scene, a compendium entry, a document, an outlining task, or a freeform note.
Organize Your Story
In the Planner, use beats, chapters, and scenes to organize and plan the story.
Vespers supports detailed planning, but it does not require it. Start with a blank outline, choose a template, or reshape the project as the story changes.
Revision is also Writing
Revising is not a straight line.
Vespers has snapshots, comments, highlights, strikethrough, search, and progress views so you can see what changed and what still needs attention.
Review Your Progress
The Dashboard helps you see writing time, words added, prose patterns, open marks, and recent activity.
